Hehe, if you think about it, given the difficulty in making a photograph come out the way you want to (since you can't control reality as much as you can control a drawing), it's mighty impressive that the guy managed to capture the heli in the middle of a takeoff/landing, with nice lighting, nice angle, and a beautiful painterly sandstorm right below. IMHO, taking a photograph like this is just as hard as drawing it, only in different ways.
I'm just a student, nothing special. The low flying areas in the Netherlands are in nature areas. Normally you are allowed to recreate there and you can enjoy the nature, but sometimes there is an exercise. You can still recreate if there is an exercise going on, but it's at your own risk. Of course most people got sent away if they come too close, but if you keep safe distance there is no problem.
